SeaThru is a new, waterfront, modern home. SeaThru was inspired by the mid-century modern homes from our area, known as the Sarasota School of Architecture.
This homes designed to offer more than the standard, ubiquitous rear-yard waterfront outdoor space. A central courtyard offer the residents a respite from the heat that accompanies west sun, and creates a gorgeous intermediate view fro guest staying in the semi-attached guest suite, who can actually SEE THROUGH the main living space and enjoy the bay views.
Noble materials such as stone cladding, oak floors, composite wood louver screens and generous amounts of glass lend to a relaxed, warm-contemporary feeling not typically common to these types of homes.

Owners and architect worked together closely to create a structure with clean contemporary lines, Asian-influenced design elements, and a modernist look. In concrete and steel, with a shallow butterfly roof, the structure uses modern building materials inside and out, and deliberately breaks from traditional residential materials and design.

The Fontana Bridge residence is a mountain modern lake home located in the mountains of Swain County. The LEED Gold home is mountain modern house designed to integrate harmoniously with the surrounding Appalachian mountain setting. The understated exterior and the thoughtfully chosen neutral palette blend into the topography of the wooded hillside.

The narrow site challenged the design team to create a modern home that blended within its surroundings and maximized its views of the lake. All of the modern elements intertwine and weave together framing the view while drawing the lake up to the porch and finally connecting to the sky. ©Shoot2Sell Photography

This family cabin, built in the mid '60's has provided a much loved family retreat for generations. A beautiful wooded setting with breath-taking mountain views combined with the good bones of the cabin warranted a complete make-over to update it for now and for generations to come. Two small additions enlarge living space and tuck under existing deep roof overhangs. Chandler Photography

This high durability exterior requires no painting or maintenance over time due to the natural cedar shingles, untreated machiche wood decking, blue stone patio, aluminum clad windows, copper gutters and galvanized railings.
